sweet husband has a problem. unfortunately i am fairly certain that there are no therapy or group sessions for said problem, as i am confident that unless you are homeless, or an animal of some kind, any normal human would not struggle with what i'm about to share with you...
sweet husband finds nothing wrong with eating leftover food ...from a complete stranger's plate at a restaurant. ummm....ew. examples include (but not limited to) killer pizza from mars...we walk in, walk up to order, spot a table not yet cleared with a couple slices of "perfectly fine" but potentially disease infested pizza...sweet husband makes his way over to the table, and consumes the pizza like it's no big deal!!!
well folks, despite my complete disgust, it didn't end there. salads...fries...you name it. it's to the point where if we walk into a restaurant, and i see a table with leftovers, i have to tell him NOT to touch it... and he usually looks disappointed. there are so many things wrong with this and although he is much better these days, i am glad i was around yesterday when he ran inside with excitment to tell me that a McDonalds bag just flew off of the roof of someone's car driving by, and he was going to rescue the goods off the street. i gave him the "you can't be serious, you disgusting pig" look and he quickly changed his mind, telling me that he just wanted to get the trash off the street. i made him pinky swear that he wouldn't eat ANY of it, and then i played spy and followed him out with the camera to ensure he kept his word.
what a good boy, cleaning up the trash.
haha i was spotted, and so he showed off a little...
i better check our cupboards to make sure none of those ketchup packets ended up in our house...
nothing good to eat....thank heavens.
i think he finally understands how passionate i am about germs and being sanitary. we can only hope, anyway.

LOL!! Oh Nikki this is sooo funny (& well written too) ;-) The irony here (as you know),is that unless it's pasta or pizza, your father will not consume perfectly good DAY-OLD leftovers that WE carefully cooked and stored in our OWN FRIDGE! If we can look for the good in Greg's habit I guess it would be that he's not wasteful.. but that is between husband & wife and not for a mother-in-law to comment on. (Just keep him away from the dumpsters!!) LOL xoxo
This made me laugh... HARD. However, if it was my husband, I think I would share in your concern. Thanks for sharing! :)
That is too funny!
