in loving memory
i received sad news from home over the weekend. my grandmother passed away. my heart is broken. she had always been one of my best friends. the funeral is tomorrow and it is really hard for me to be here and not there. i'm so glad that she was able to meet (and love) greg and that i was able to tell her our baby news. i'm grateful for the millions of memories that will always live on. we will be together again one day.

groovy baby, yeah!
now hear me out...many people have an issue with announcing this kind of news far too early. i thought i was one of those people, but the more i thought about it, the more i feel that this blog is my journal in a way. i share what is going on in my life, whether it be good or bad. we are SO excited. it's hard to keep my mouth shut about this one!

lucky 5
Lucky you!
The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make! (Though I hope you will!)
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done this year {might be a little while}
4. You get no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or maybe even some creation I haven't even invented yet. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer to do the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did, win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me!

curious.
yesterday we went to the zoo. i hate animals. i really do. not the point. so while at the zoo...greg spots a blind person. first of all...blind? at the zoo? did they go just to smell the animals or what? here's the real kicker.....our blind friend had binoculars around his neck and i'm not even kidding. i have so many questions, all of which will remain unanswered.

tanorexia
ever since friend arica mentioned the need to fake 'n bake, i cannot get the obsession out of my head. i marched myself right on down to del mar highlands sun lounge and bought a month unlimited. i love to be tanned, and when it is too cold (yes oh canadians, too cold) to lay out at the beach, i take drastic measures to keep that healthy glow alive. i admit it. i am tanorexic.

hooters.
we went there last night. it's not what you think though, greg isn't that kind of guy. our friend reserved a table there for the ufc fight, well greg, jeremy and even ashley happen to be into that kind of thing (ufc, not hooters)... SO we went. to hooters. let me tell you folks...i have bathingsuits that are more modest than those uniforms. shocking. oh and lets not forget...kids eat free on sundays. isn't that special?
